Level One Coaching Course (2026)

SG-Coach Level One (Technical – SBF) Exam: 13 February 2027, 10.00am – 12.00pm (Subject to changes)

Venue: Singapore Bowling Federation (Conference Room & Bowling Centre)

*Registration will close 6 weeks before the course date or when the maximum number of 30 pax has been reached.

Pre-requisites for SBF Level One (Full Integration) Coaching Course

1. Bowling Skill Evaluation Test: $32.70 incl. GST (exempted for Current / Ex-National bowlers) – Payment to be advised.
2. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Have a valid Standard First Aid (with AED) Certificate, or to be completed within six months from successful completion of the Level One Course.
4. E-learning on SportSG-ED online must be completed before the course.

Course Information

This SBF Level One (Full Integration) Coaching Course will cover 3 main components:

1) Foundational Sport Science (FSS)

2) SG-Coach Level One (Theory)

3) SG-Coach Level One (Technical) – SBF

SG-Coach Level One (Technical):

• Introduction to Bowling
• Coaching Sequence for Beginners
• Bowling Systems (Finishing Position, Swing Mechanics, Release etc)
• Aiming & Spare System
• Bowling Ball Fundamental
• Integration of SG-Coach Modules through on-lane sessions

To be certified as a SG-Coach Excellence Programme Bowling Level One (Full Integration) Coach, coaches are required to

1) Complete the SportSG-ED modules online (e-learning including the mock exams)

2) Score at least 80% for the SG-Coach Foundational Sport Science (FSS) Exam*

3) Score at least 80% for the SG-Coach Level One Theory Exam*

4) Score at least 80% for the SG-Coach Level One Technical Exam* conducted by Singapore Bowling Federation

5) Register for full NROC with Valid Standard First Aid (with AED) Certificate

* Participants must obtain 80% attendance to be eligible for the exams.

Note: SG-Coach Excellence Programme Bowling Level One (Full Integration) Certificate will only be issued after the participant has successfully registered or have upgraded to full NROC.

Level One Coaching Course Fee: $981.00 (incl. GST)

1) Fees are inclusive of the compulsory SportSG-ED platform license fee of $20.00.

2) Mode of payment: PayNow QR code only (this will be furnished once your application has been accepted)

3) Participation will be confirmed upon full payment of course fees.

4) Fee excludes FSS and SG-Coach Level One exam fees.

SBF Level Two (Technical) Coaching Course
Level Two Coaching Course (2026)

SBF Level Two (Technical) Exams: 26 Sep, 7.00pm – 9.00pm (Subject to changes)

Venue: Singapore Bowling Federation (Conference Room & Bowling Centre)
*Registration will close 2 weeks before the course date or when the maximum number of 30 pax has been reached.

Pre-requisites for SBF Level Two (Technical) Coaching Course

1. Bowling Skill Evaluation Test: $30.00 (exempted for Current / Ex-National bowlers and previously assessed participants) – Payment to be advised.
2. Certified SG-Coach Excellence Programme Bowling Level One (Full Integration) or SG-Coach Level One (Technical).
3. Priority for coaches enrolled in COE Coaches Enrolment List (former or current).
4. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Course Information
This SBF Level Two (Technical) Coaching Course will cover 3 main components:
1) Systems Identification (video analysis, identify compensations, etc)
2) Bowling Ball Dynamics (Ball motion in relation to layouts)
3) Tactical Variations (Fundamentals of tactical lane play)

To be certified as a SBF Level Two (Technical) Coach, coaches are required to

• Score at least 80% for all SBF Level Two (Technical) Exams*

* Participants must obtain 80% attendance to be eligible for the exams.

Level Two Coaching Course Fee: $1090.00
ROAC Coaches are eligible for a 10% discount.

** A minimum of 8 participants is required to conduct the course.

Pre-requisites for SBF Level Three Module 2 – Sports Science Coaching Course

1. Bowling Skill Evaluation Test: $32.70 incl. GST (exempted for Current / Ex-National bowlers and previously assessed participants).
2. Certified SBF Level Two (Technical).
3. Recommended for coaches with on-lane coaching experience.
4. Priority for coaches enrolled in COE Coaches Enrolment List (former or current).
5. Modules do not have to be in sequence.
6. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Course Information

This SBF Level Three Module 2 – Sports Science Coaching Course will cover:

Mental / Strength & Conditioning / Nutrition / Sports Science

To pass SBF Level Three Module 2, coaches are required to:

• Present individual course reflection.
• Fulfil 100% attendance.

After completing all 3 Modules, to be certified as a SBF Level Three (Technical) Coach, coaches are required to:

• Pass the Final Assessment, information for Final Assessment will be shared during the course.

Level Three – Module 2 Coaching Course Fee: $436.00 (incl. GST)

ROAC Coaches are eligible for a 10% discount.
