Awesome finish for 🇸🇬 at the 26th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship Women’s Masters today.

Cherie Tan, Daphne Tan and New Hui Fen were the top 3 seeds after Block 2 this morning! Stellar performance from our ladies!!!

In the step ladders, New Hui Fen beat team mate Daphne Tan to advance and meet another team mate and top seed Cherie Tan. Cherie won both games and is our new 26th Asian Championships women’s masters champion. What a fantastic showing!

26th Asian Bowling Championships-

Women’s Masters - After the first 8 games of block 1, New Hui Fen with a score of 1976 lies in second place, just 25 pins behind Jung Dawun of Korea. Bernice Lim is 5th (1931) a mere 15 pins behind 3rd place Kim Jinju of Korea. Also fighting to get into the top 3 to make the Step Ladder finals are Daphne Tan (7th -21) Cherie Tan (9th -37), Shayna Ng (10th -40) and Jazreel Tan (13th -75). Let’s wish them all the best for the final 8 games in Block 2. C’mon Singapore!

In the Men’s Masters, Mike Ong lies in the middle of the pack in 9th position, 175 behind 3rd placed Muhd Rafiq Ismail of Malaysia. Jiayou Mike! All the best for block 2.

26th Asian Bowling Championships - Congratulations to Cherie Tan and Shayna Ng for winning the All Events Gold and Bronze respectively. Joining both of them in the Masters are New Hui Fen (4th out of 50), Jazreel Tan (9th), Bernice Lim (13th) and Daphne Tan (15th). Always a great feeling when the whole team qualifies for the Masters.

In the Team of 5 event, our ladies won the Silver ahead of China and behind winners Korea.

Well done ladies! All the best in the Masters !

26th Asian Bowling Championships - Lying in 6th position after the first block, our Men’s Team of 5 comprising Muhd Jaris Goh, Darren Ong, Timothy Tham, Mike Ong and Cheah Ray Han fought hard to end up 4th position out of 16 countries. Congratulations to Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Korea for winning the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

Kudos to Mike Ong (Front row extreme left) for qualifying for the Masters event in 11th position. What a great performance on his Asian Championships debut!! Let’s send him our best wishes for the Men’s Masters which begins on Tuesday 17 January.
