Who says seniors can’t have fun?

3rd March, Singapore: At eleven in the morning, many seniors nationwide were lining themselves in an orderly manner, waiting with great anticipation.

It was not for a huge sale, neither for freebies. But it was all for the fun of rolling bright coloured balls down a bowling lane with the sounds of rumbling pins.

SingaporeBowling participated in the Active Ageing Carnival held at Suntec City Convention Centre to encourage the ageing population to pick up bowling as a sport.

Our national bowlers were also there to reach out to the active ageing population, guiding them alongside while introducing them to bowling.

This event is held over two days and allowed us to promote bowling as not only a family bonding sport but also a rewarding sporting activity.

Many seniors came down with friends who cheered them on as they tried to roll the heavy ball down the lane.

Bowlers gave out attractive tokens for participants who manage to hit all ten pins down in their attempts.

With the huge turnout of participation in this year’s event, we are glad to have created joy and laughter among the seniors. We hope to see you next year!
