Three Singapore women advances

PBA-World Bowling Tour Thailand 2013 Three Singapore women advanced into the next round after finishing fifth, seventh and eighth positions in Round 3 finals of the PBA-World Bowling Tour Thailand 2013 on Sunday evening.

2013 Indonesia Open champion, Geraldine Ng was Singapore’s best performer ending the 6-games Round 3 finals in fifth position with 1291. Ng had lines of 185, 268, 195, 199, 193 and 203. Cherie Tan, who earned a bye after qualifying in the second bracket, finished seventh with 1279.

Round 2 leader, New Hui Fen, who had a poor start with 175 and 192, recovered with 219, 241, 200 and 202 to take up eighth position with 1277. Jazreel Tan, who was at one stage in the top 12, ended poorly and failed to make the cut in 16th position with 1238.

Bernice Lim, who had a superb run in the earlier Round 2 finals, also failed to progress finishing 19th with 1226.

Two-time TV finalist and Amercian PBA pro, Ryan Ciminelli topped the round with 1378 followed by 2011 TV finalist, Peerawich Rungcharoen of Thailand in second with 1368.

 

Two Hong Kong nationals, Michael Mak and Wu Siu Hong shared third spot with 1334. UAE’s Hussain Al Suwaidi clinched the 12th position with 1266.

The top 12 will be joined by the 8 seeded qualifiers from the top bracket to contest Round 4 finals over 6 games tomorrow morning. The top 7 plus the top Thai finisher, will advance to the TV Shootout finals.
