FILA is National Team Partner
30th April, Singapore: Global Sports Brand Pte Ltd (FILA) today announced its partnership with the Singapore Bowling Federation (SBF) as the National Team Partner at the official opening of its FILA boutique in Tampines 1.
Global Sports Brand looks upon this partnership as an opportunity to position FILA’s involvement in promoting and enhancing sports development in Singapore.
As the National Team Partner of SBF, apart from the financial support to the various SBF Bowling Tournaments, Global Sports Brand also provides FILA apparel to SBF bowlers for their training and participation in tournaments.
Under the partnership agreement, FILA is contributing S$300,000 worth of cash and product sponsorship as SBF’s National Team Partner from 2009 to 2011.
“Bowling is a sport that attracts people of all ages. We see this partnership as an opportunity for us to reach out to all segments, from the young to the seniors,” says Mr William Arto Hardy, Director of Global Sports Brand Pte Ltd. “Singapore Bowling Federation has been dedicated to promoting tenpin bowling in Singapore through its various initiatives and programmes, including youth development in the bowling fraternity. We are confident this partnership would meet the objectives for our investment.”

We believe we would be able to foster a cohesive and favourable partnership with Global Sports Brand through our bowlers’ participation in the regular bowling tournaments, including the upcoming 42nd Singapore International Open and the 1st Asian Youth Games in Singapore,” says Mrs Jessie Phua, President of the Singapore Bowling Federation. “FILA has a wide range of quality apparel with innovative designs which would add vibrancy to our youth bowlers.”
To coincide with the official opening of the FILA boutique, Singapore bowler Remy Ong signed on the FILA apparel sponsored by Global Sports Brand. This would be showcased in the Tampines 1 FILA boutique. A specially designed 2010 bowling apparel themed “AIM” for SBF bowlers was also launched at the FILA boutique’s official opening, where the design is aligned with bowling in mind.
