Singapore youth bags Masters title

16th July, Taipei: 2015 Thailand Open fourth runner-up, Tracy See Wan Zhen of Singapore bagged the Youth Masters title of the 15th Chinese Taipei International Open at Twin Woods Bowling Center, Taichung City.

Armed with a handicap of 8 pins per game, The 19-year-old Singaporean reeled in lines of 202, 227, 212, 288, 198, 204, 158 and 198 for an 8-game total of 1751. Malaysia’s Qistina Zainal finished second, 69 pins adrift on 1682.

Chinese Taipei’s Liao Li-Yang and Liao Chia-Min took third and fourth positions with 1664 and 1660 while Jonovan Neo Ze Min of Singapore rounded out the top five with 1659.

Other Singapore youths in the finals were Ramsey Lim, who finished ninth position with 1592 and Cheah Ray Han 14th with 1492.

Natioanal assistant coach, Ronnie Ng, who led the team of eight bowlers to the on-going championship, left for Taipei on July 13. The other bowlers were Tay Hui Wen, Darren Ong, Marcus Lian and Jomond Chia.
