Singapore youngster impresses

13th November, Jakarta: Singapore youngster, Nicole Wong impresses in her outing at the on-going 1st Ancol Open Bowling Championship by qualifying second in the Women's Open Masters. Bowling in her first international outing, Nicole Wong shot 245, 245, 197 and 169 in her second attempt to finish an impressive second in the Women's Open Masters qualifying table. Nicole also made the finals of the Youth Girls Under-23 in third with 760.

Her teammate, Gina Lim, who finished second in the 2006 Indonesia Open Youth Girls Under-23, also made the cut and occupying first spot in the mixed pool with 797. The remaining Singaporean who has yet to make the cut is Geraldine Ng.

Leading the overseas pool is Korea's Park Jin Hee with a 4-game total of 911. Hong Kong's Vanessa Fung is third behind Nicole with 854.
