Singapore celebrates outstanding achievements

10th July, Singapore: SingaporeBowling together with our corporate partners - Canon Singapore, FILA, Singapore Airlines, Brunswick and AIA celebrated the outstanding achievements of Singapore Asian Youth Games Team at The American Club.  

SingaporeBowling won a total of 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals for the Republic in the recently concluded inaugural Asian Youth Games. The Girl's Singles Gold won by New Hui Fen on July 1st was also the first gold medal for Singapore.

Over 110 invited guests, council members, media friends, parents and bowlers joined in the victory celebration to honour our bowlers and coaches for their remarkable performance in this event.

During the dinner, Mrs Jessie Phua, together with Mr Chew Teck Keng, General Manager of Orchid Bowl represented the cash award to the three gold medalists - New Hui Fen (Girl's Singles, Doubles, Masters), Krishna Darshini (Girl's Doubles and Masters) and Basil Low (Boy's Masters).

Mr Robin Yap, Regional Director (Asia) of Insight Vacations also presented a cash reward of S$1000 to New Hui Fen for her perfect game achieved in the second block of the Girl's Masters Finals. Orchid Bowl also presented to New Hui Fen a plaque for her perfect game.

Guests at the dinner also had the chance to view the photos and video of the AYG Masters Game Final Block, Semifinal and Stepladder Grand Finals, on top of the photo-taking opportunities with our AYG squad.
