Singapore makes Team semi-finals

30th July, Helsinki: Daphne Tan, New Hui Fen, Shayna Ng and Jazreel Tan put in another splendid performance in the second block of the Girl's Team of Four at the World Youth Championship 2010 to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

The Singaporean quartet ended the team event with 4971 to finish 53 pins behind Korea and ahead of overnight leader, Malaysia and England while the boys struggled in the long oil to miss the cut in ninth position.

Strong Team performance by Singapore
Following a superb showing in the doubles event by Daphne Tan, New Hui Fen, Shayna Ng and Jazreel Tan, the quartet teamed up to finish a strong second in the World Youth Championship Team of Four event after the first block.
