Victory for Team Syntech
26th April, Singapore: Team Syntech Switchgear and Engineering’s Teo Choon Hua, Steven Ang, Chew Ruxun and Benjamin Hong claimed victory in the fifth round of the Canon SuperSeries which resumed at Kallang Bowl on Sunday.
Twenty-one teams from reputable corporations in Singapore took part in the fifth round of the immensely popular Canon SuperSeries which saw Team Syntech Switchgear and Engineering posting 2319 to claim victory.
Teo Choon Hua only managed a three-game series of 408 but was fortunately covered by Steven Ang, who shot 657 with lines of 204, 208 and 245. Team-mate, Chew Ruxun was impressive with 587 on lines of 182, 236 and 169.
But anchorman, Benjamin Hong was the toast of the team posting the highest three-game series of 667 with lines of 224, 237 and 206 to help the team claim the victory.
Team Exxxcellence comprising of Suzie Tan, Lawrence Tok, Eridix Ng and Eric Koh, did well to take second spot with 2292. Suzie shot 523 with Lawrence 519, Eridix 601 and Eric 649. Round 1 champion, United Overseas Bank finished third with a total 2279 after Katherine Ong downed 555, Carol Tan 541, Johnny Lee 533 and Francis Teo 650.
Team Bronco missed the podium after they finished fourth with 2238 but all was not lost as Tan Hoe Seng of Team Bronco posted the high game of 278. Syntech also bagged the team high game with 830 while Benjamin Hong posted the highest three-game series with 667.
The sixth and final round of the Canon SuperSeries will take place on June 13 at Superbowl Mount Faber with the grand finals on June 14. Entry forms for this round will be available here soon or you may register on-line by clicking here.
