Singapore youths up for the challenge

23rd July, Helsinki: Eight national bowlers will be up for the challeng at the World Youth Bowling Championship 2010 which will take place from 23 July to 1 August 2010 at Tali Bowl, Helsinki, Finland.

The four girls are Daphne Tan Shi Jing, Jazreel Tan Shi Hua, New Hui Fen and Shayna Ng Lin Zhi and the four boys are Basil Low Eng Howe, Benjamin Lim Jia Jun, Justin Lim Chun Liang and Justin Lim Chia Loong.

Bowlers will compete get to compete in the Singles, Doubles, 4-player Team event, All Events and Masters in the 8-day competition. This tournament sees participation from various countries across the globe.

There are a total of 47 countries who will be participating at this event. Some of the countries include Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Australia, Egypt, Germany, United States and England.

  

The Singapore team is led by SBF High Performance Manager, Melvin Lim and assisted by head coache, William Woo and assistant coach, Francis Yeo. Also with the team is Cik Hamidah Binte Hamid, Sports Physiotherapist.
