SGCC emerges as champion

13th September, Singapore: In recognition of all clubs affiliated to Singapore Bowling Federation, an all-new SBF Affiliated Clubs Friendly Challenge 2008 was held at the NSRCC on Saturday evening.

The challenge was organized by SingaporeBowling with the objective of fostering the camaraderie amongst all SBF affiliated clubs and on a quarterly basis. The SBF Affiliated Clubs Friendly Challenge 2008 was open to all SBF Affiliates and Associate Clubs.

Home team. NSRCC set the pace with a superb 705 opening game to lead the field of 14 teams with Warren Gold and Country Club in second. But a low game of 685 saw the leader dropping to fifth as Serangoon Gardens Country Club shot to the front with a team game of 784.   SGCC went on to clinch the title with a team total of 2122 after a third game of 666. Eric Lim posted 565, Lynette Lily Tan 429, Lily Leow 592 and Chee Hock Meng 536. NSRCC’s Kwa Ai Teng, Angeline Teo, Edmund Low and Andy Lai recovered to finish second with 2087 while Chinese Swimming Club took third spot with 2066.

Once every three months, all member clubs shall get together and have a game of fun, food, drinks and most importantly, the opportunity to mingle and socialize with one another!

The next session will be on 8th November 2008 at NSRCC again and everyone is looking forward to it.
