Let’s Bowl Non-Stop
21st May, Singapore: As part of our publicity programme to generate stronger awareness for the 44th Singapore International Open, SingaporeBowling organised three roadshows on 14 and 15 May 2011 at Junction 8 Plaza and 21 May 2011 at Tampines Sports & Recreation Centre.
National bowlers New Hui Fen, who is also the Sportsgirl of the Year 2011 and 16th Asian Games gold medalists Geraldine Ng and Shayna Ng were present on 14 May to meet up with the visitors. World Champions Remy Ong and Jasmine Yeong-Nathan were present on 21 May 2011 to meet up with the visitors as well as BG Lim Teck Yin, CEO of SSC.
Apart from some Q & A sessions, visitors were also able to take photographs with their bowling idols during the roadshows.
Besides the real bowling pins and bowling balls found at the roadshow, visitors also got to see a huge bowling ball and a human-size 'bowling pin' walking around the vicinity.
The 44th Singapore International Open is currently ongoing and will end on 4 June 2011 with the Stepladder Grand Finals at 6.30pm at Orchid Bowl, Orchid Country Club.
The Stepladder Grand Finals will also be broadcast LIVE via StarHub SuperSports Arena (Channel 201).
Interested bowling enthusiasts can also watch the action live at Orchid Bowl, admission is free.
