Gina Lim settles for first runnerup

13th November, Jakarta: Gina Lim of Singapore settled for first runnerup in the Youth Girl's Under-23 Masters finals of the 1st Ancol Open Bowling Championship at Ancol Bowling Centre on Thursday evening. Singapore's Kristel Oh had a cracking start with 243 in her opening game but Gina Lim took over the lead after the national youth squad member posted 191 and 250 in the first two games.

But two disasterous games of 139 and 146 dropped her to second last while Kristel regained the lead until the halfway mark. World Youth Championship All Events silver medalist, Tannya Roumimper took over the lead and went on to claim the title with 1915.

Gina rebounded to storm home for second with 1847 followed by Philippines Open champion, Krizziah Tabora of the Philippines third with 1843. Pace setter, Kristel Oh ended up in sixth.   Singapore's other two finalists, Nicole Wong and Geraldine Ng finished a dismal ninth and tenth position respectively.
