Ex-national heads Graded A division

25th May, Singapore: Ex-national, Lenny Lim headed the Men's Graded A qualifying table of the 41st Singapore International Open with a superb 893 as Malaysia's Zandra Aziela chalked up the highest 4-game total of 902 to lead the Women's Open table. National youth, Eugene Low, who topped the Men's Open division since las week, remained in pole position with Ong She-Na moving up to third behind Valerie Teo and Jennifer Tan in the women's local pool.

As bowlers in the open division scrambled for a slot in the Masters qualifying table, ex-national, Lenny Lim is contented with top spot in the Men's Graded A division after he posted 893 earlier on the fifth day of the on-going Singapore International Open.

Tan Hock Beng finished second with 878 ahead of Johnny Hong, Andrew Lee and Tan Chng Kiat rounding up the top 5. Susan Ng took up top spot in the Women's Graded A division since day 1 followed by Jessie Lim and Susan Tan second and third.

Meanwhile, Zandra Azeial of Malaysia chalked up the highest 4-game total with a sizzling 902 to take over the overall lead and the overseas pool. Last year's runnerup, Sharon Koh shot 896 for second ahead of teammate, Choy Poh Lai, who improved with 790.

Youth Girl's leader, Ong She-Na, who was ninth with 809, improved to take up third in the women's local pool behind leaders Valerie Teo in top spot on 885. 2002 World Ranking Masters champion, Jennifer Tan is second with 883.

2005 national women champion, Jasmine Yeong-Nathan dropped one rung to fourth with last year's second runnerup, Cherie Tan getting out of the mixed pool to slot into fifth spot with 859.

 

UAE bowlers, Hussain Al-Suwaidi, double champion in the Saudi Open and ABF Tour Saudi leg, Shaker Al-Hassan and Fuaad Al-Mas just arrived Singapore and will commence their attempts later. More overseas participants are expected in the next few days.
