Club HDB crowned grand finals champion
14th June, Singapore: Club HDB was crowned the champion of the Canon SuperSeries Grand Finals held at SuperBowl SAFRA Mount Faber. The champion walked away with S$15,000 cash after achieving a total pinfall of 2348 over 3 games.
Twenty-nine teams took part in today’s grand finals after six rounds of the Canon SuperSeries which started in October 2008. The Canon Superseries Grand Finals saw supporters comprising of their colleagues and families joining in to lend their support and to share the excitement and thrills.
Club HDB, who won the Canon SuperSeries in February to qualify for today’s grand finals emerged as champion after the team amassed a total of 2348 over the 3-games event and took home S$15,000 cash as grand prize.
The fringe activity “Boss & Secretary Challenge” was also held today where 27 teams of bosses and secretaries took part in this fun bowling activity. The winning boss was Benjamin Hong from Syntech Switchgear & Engineering Pte Ltd, who won a 4Day/3Night “Gems of Britain” tour package with a pair of airtickets on Emirates Airways.
The winning secretary was Tay Shu Yi, who walked away with a 1.3 carat white gold diamond ring worth S$10,000. The second, third, fourth and fifth position teams won Jacob’s Creek products worth S$1,000, S$500, S$300 and S$200 respectively.
