National Classic I
The “National Classic I” is a tournament open to any Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is a current member of a SBF affiliated club.
This is a Singles Event, comprising of a Preliminary Round and Master Final. Men bowling on scratch basis, ladies shall entitled to 5 pins handicap per game during Preliminary Round and Master Final. Please see bowling schedule.
Entry Fee & Venue
The Entry Fee shall be S$200 per participant. The venue is at OrchidBowl @ SAFRA Tampines.
Preliminary Round
Preliminary round shall consist of 16 games, to be completed in 2 blocks of 8 games each over 2 days.
Master Final
The top 16 bowlers from the Preliminary Round will advance to the Master Final, playing head to head matches, best 2 of 3 games elimination format, in 4 rounds:
• first round (16 bowlers)
• quarter final (8 bowlers)
• semi final (4 bowlers)
• grand final (2 bowlers)
a. Each match played in best of 3 games (when 2 games is won the match is over).
b. Each match played on one pair of lanes.
c. Highest ranked player in each round will meet the lowest ranked player. Second highest player meets the second lowest player and so on. i.e. first round, 1st ranked plays against 16th ranked; 2nd ranked plays against 15th ranked and so on.
The scores from the Preliminary Round WILL NOT BE CARRIED FORWARD to the Master Final.
